Wuhan-based freight forwarder for the China-side import of biological products — documentation pre-check, customs clearance coordination, cold chain and last-mile delivery.
Regulatory clarity first — then we move your shipment
Getting a product into China is a documentation problem long before it becomes a logistics problem. Our job is to find the obstruction on paper, weeks before your shipment reaches a Chinese airport.
We read your product description, composition, origin and intended use, and map it against China's import requirements before anything is booked. Most consignments we are asked to rescue were visible as a problem on paper weeks earlier.
If a shipment needs a licence we cannot obtain on your behalf, we say so plainly and tell you who can. That is more useful to you than a competitive quote that leads nowhere.
Validated 2–8 °C and dry-ice packaging, a temperature logger in every consignment, and a temperature report issued alongside delivery. Your QA team receives a document, not an assurance.
You deal with one person in Wuhan who works in English and Chinese. No handoff between an overseas sales office and an unknown local agent, and no translation loss on the documents that matter.
We concentrate on biological products and research materials. Every item is classified before we quote, because the paperwork that applies follows the classification — not the label on the box.
RUO reagents, assay kits, buffers, standards and controls, laboratory consumables. Usually the fastest route into China — in most cases no drug registration is required, though quarantine and safety documentation still applies.
Antigens, antibodies, enzymes, blocking reagents, calibrators and controls supplied to Chinese IVD manufacturers. Classification turns on animal-derived content and on whether the material is commercial or non-commercial.
Monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, enzymes, peptides and cytokines, in research and bulk quantities.
Levels 1–4 animal-source high-risk samples — animal cells, blood, tissue, Drosophila, sections and bovine serum — classified by risk level with compliant approval and transport. Also non-infectious serum, plasma, tissue, cell and fluid samples for research, method validation or clinical trial support.
Media, sera, supplements and cell lines, including material sourced from recognised commercial cell banks.
If your product already holds a China import drug licence, we handle the China-side leg: clearance coordination, port drug testing liaison, cold storage and delivery to the licensed consignee.
We do not own warehouses or trucks. We concentrate on the parts that decide whether your shipment clears — the classification, the paperwork, and the temperature — and we coordinate the rest through vetted partners.
We read your product description, composition, origin and intended use, and map it against China's import requirements before anything is booked — the part of the job that actually saves the shipment.
The application is made by you or your China entity; we assemble the package, chase the authorities and keep the file moving.
Broker liaison at the gateway and at other ports where your consignee requires it — declaration, duty calculation and inspection handled as your agent.
Packaging designed for the shipment, not off a shelf — phase-change 2–8 °C, dry ice −78.5 °C, packing at origin or re-icing at the port, with a logger in every consignment.
Held in a licensed third-party facility at the port of entry — break-bulk, re-icing and split shipments to multiple consignees, without you paying for capacity you use twice a month.
To the bench, the ward or the production line — temperature-controlled where the product requires it, with a temperature report and proof of delivery on every consignment.
Core lines spanning antibody drugs, oncology drugs, animal-source high-risk samples, Class C biologics and CAR-T closed-loop projects — handled in both directions through Wuhan's dual gateway.
We guide your China-side export of antibody drugs — from pre-approval and commodity inspection to export clearance and validated international cold-chain transport.
For oncology drugs entering China, we handle the import drug clearance note and coordinate the full-chain cold-chain transport and import formalities.
Levels 1–4 animal-source high-risk samples — animal cells, blood, tissue, Drosophila, sections and bovine serum — classified by risk level with compliant approval and transport.
Compliant import and export of Class C biologics — antibodies, proteins, enzymes, kits, plasmids, E. coli, yeast, DNA/RNA, peptides and sample-class items.
We support the closed-loop CAR-T project: from preparing blood collection at the patient's country, through China-side risk assessment and full document preparation, to obtaining the approval, arranging international transport and onward supervision, and completing the reinfusion closed loop of CAR-T cells.
A temperature excursion does not announce itself. The box arrives looking perfect; the assay fails three weeks later. We design for the whole journey and document what actually happened.
Packing at the shipper's premises with the logger activated and witnessed.
Booked with a carrier that accepts your commodity class and temperature profile.
Arrival, customs presentation and cold storage at the port of entry.
Clearance coordination and port drug testing liaison where the product requires it.
Temperature-controlled delivery, temperature report and proof of delivery.
Importing biological products into China involves four separate layers of requirements. Only one of them is ours to deliver. Knowing which is which saves months — and it is the first thing we explain to a new client.
Someone in China must act as importer of record, hold a business licence covering import and export, and be registered with China Customs. For second-level risk biological materials the consignee must also be registered with its local Customs district. This is your China entity, your distributor or your end user — we cannot be your importer of record.
Depending on the item this may be a health quarantine approval, an animal and plant quarantine permit, a human genetic resources approval, a medical device registration, or a drug import licence with a clearance note. The legal applicant is your company or your designated China entity. We pre-check, assemble the package, declare as your authorised agent and follow up.
For certain biological materials and blood products the overseas manufacturer must appear on China Customs' list of approved foreign suppliers, and the consignment must carry an official veterinary or safety certificate. We can check the list and tell your consignee exactly what will be required.
Designated port of entry, cold-chain inspection, port drug testing where applicable, cold storage and temperature-controlled delivery. This is the layer we own end to end — and the layer where we can move fastest on your behalf.
Under China's customs rules the legal applicant for the approvals above must be the inbound entity itself — that is, your company or your designated China entity. ZHUIGUANG acts as your freight forwarder and authorised customs declarant: pre-review, document assembly, agent declaration and follow-up. We are not the licence applicant and we are not the importer of record. Where we cannot help, we will tell you before you spend money.
Where your consignment enters China decides how long it spends on a tarmac. Wuhan is one of the few inland cities with a fully equipped biological import gateway.
Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and Ezhou Huahu International Airport are both on China's list of designated ports for drug imports. We work out of both, and choose the entry point that fits your routing and your consignee.
Port drug testing for the province is handled by the Wuhan Institute for Drug and Medical Device Control. For consignees in central China this removes the need to route sampling through another province.
From Wuhan, road delivery reaches Hubei, Hunan, Henan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Chongqing and Sichuan typically within one to two days — a shorter cold chain than landing on the coast and trucking inland.
We move biological products outbound from Wuhan every week. Your inbound consignment travels on the same vetted lanes, the same packaging configurations and the same carrier relationships — not on a route we are learning.
Six steps, visible from the first email to the temperature report.
Product, origin, destination, timing
Item mapped to China's import requirements
Written gap list before anything is booked
Port, routing, temperature, packing, lead time
Package assembly and follow-up on your application
Clearance, cold chain, temperature report
Both lists are short and both are honest. In biological imports there is no grey zone worth improvising in.
Zhuiguang International Logistics (Wuhan) is an international freight forwarder specialising in biological products and biological materials. We work in both directions — China to the world, and the world into China — which means the same validated packaging, the same carrier relationships and the same compliance discipline apply whichever way your consignment travels.
Our China-side import capability rests on Wuhan's dual gateway. Both Wuhan Tianhe and Ezhou Huahu are designated drug-import airports, and Wuhan hosts Hubei's only qualified drug-testing institute. For a consignee in central China that is a materially shorter and better-controlled cold chain than landing on the coast and trucking inland.
We do not own warehouses or trucks. We put our effort where it changes the outcome: classification before quoting, documents before dispatch, and one accountable person from origin to bench.
Tell us what you want to bring in and where it needs to go. We will tell you which compliance layers apply, what documents will be needed, and whether we can take the shipment — usually within one business day.
From a single sample to a recurring supply programme — we answer in English, and the person who replies is the person who handles your shipment.
